Kenneth Binmoeller, MD

Dr. Binmoeller is recognized nationally and internationally as an authority and leader in advanced endoscopic procedures and endosonography. Dr. Binmoeller has been performing complex interventional endoscopic procedures since the late 1980's. Currently, he is Medical Director of Interventional Endoscopy Services (IES) at California Pacific Medical Center. Founded in 2001, IES has become the premier referral center in Northern California and greater region for patients requiring complex endoscopic therapy. Dr. Binmoeller's training and professional positions have been split between the United States and Europe. He attended medical school at the University of Freiburg in Germany and the University of Bern in Switzerland, followed by internal medicine residency at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston and gastroenterology fellowship at Oregon Health Sciences University in Portland. He held University appointments in Nice, France (1990-1991) , University Hospital Eppendorf in Hamburg, Germany (1991-1998), and UCSD Medical Center in San Diego (1998 to 2001). Dr Binmoeller’s focus is innovation to enable new procedures in interventional endoscopy and improve outcomes of existing ones. He holds over 50 patents for endoscopic technologies and has authored more than 200 publications.
