Laura Cappelli organized an open discussion at #ACR19 among oncologists and rheumatologists to address the rheumatic problems seen in some patients on cancer-fighting checkpoint inhibitors.
Cappelli says oncologists and rheumatologists should take a team approach to treating patients with cancer who are on checkpoint inhibitors and are experiencing painful rheumatic conditions such as inflammatory arthritis.
