At the UW Medicine Memory and Brain Wellness Center, our multidisciplinary team specializes in the care of patients with neurodegenerative disorders - such as Alzheimer’s disease, Lewy body disease, frontotemporal dementia and other ailments that affect cognitive ability - and advancing the innovative treatments for these conditions. The center consists of experienced and skilled neurologists, psychiatrists, neuropsychologists, geriatricians, social workers and nurse practitioners who collaborate on the diagnosis and treatment of patients with neurodegenerative disorders. Research scientists in the center are investigating early diagnosis and intervention, as well as treatments designed to slow the progression of the disease.
