Washington University surgeon at St. Louis Children’s Hospital, Martin Keller, MD discusses limitations and resources for injured patients in the rural setting. Dr. Keller provides education on how to prioritize patient work ups and determine what should and shouldn’t be done prior to transferring. He also discusses how to identify which patients need to be transferred to a pediatric trauma center and managing the very sick or injured child until they can be transferred out.
